Steve Mattiace, Ed.D. provides direct support to students throughout the application process to professional schools, and he is one of the instructors for the BMP Professional Communications Reflections courses. Steve is also the course director of the Experiential Learning course. Dr. Mattiace provides broad program and career advising to students. After extensive experience in student development and student success roles, including Residence Life and Pre-health Advising Steve joined the BMP in 2016, the fall prior to the first cohort of students.
Dr. Mattiace is the Co-Course Director for Professional Communications Reflection 1 & 2, and Experiential Learning. He is a faculty academic advisor, and is the Associate Director for admissions and Administration. Dr. Mattiace oversees all aspects of the BMP admissions process. He also oversees the Linkage and Interview agreements with partner programs, and also chairs the Linkage Committees and serves on the Justice Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Dr. Mattiace serves the BMP through his work with program assessment, policy, and budget oversight.

Education & Training
Dr. Mattiace's academic work focused on promoting Osteopathic Medicine as a career pathway with the BMP students, and he continues this work after completing his Educational Doctorate in Higher Education Management in the summer of 2022.
He is interested in studying the attitudes students have, what motivates their decisions to apply to Allopathic and Osteopathic medical schools, and practical change interventions that occur in the BMP to provide students with the best chances of success in their medical school application cycles.
